SUBJECT
Abstract landscapes
Landscape without a fixed horizon line, built from texture and colour field rather than from a subject.
The paintings leave it open whether you are seeing rock, mist or water. That openness is why they work in rooms where a specific subject would be too much. Eight works are available.
Why without a horizon
Without a horizon line the viewer sets the perspective.
A painted horizon says where you are standing. Without it the painting stays a surface you can read as a landscape or not.

Texture as the subject
The surface carries the painting, not the drawing.
Impasto passages, knife edges and thinly glazed areas make the relief. From two metres you see colour, from fifty centimetres the material.
Colours that appear
Blue-grey, petrol, cream and slate.
This series stays close to Swiss weather colours. Anyone looking for warmer tones will find them under Beige and earth tones.

Formats
Mostly large format, square or landscape.
The series takes size well, because the texture needs surface. Under 60 cm it loses its effect.
In short
For rooms where a painting should stay calm.
